Your SynapseX account
This section covers the chat.synapsex.ai account — the one account behind
all three SynapseX apps: Chat in the browser, SynapseX Desktop and the SynapseX
CLI. It is where your subscription plan lives, where you mint the sxc_ keys
that connect Desktop and the CLI, and where you export or delete your data.
Building on the API instead? Workspaces, sk-synapsex- keys and prepaid
credits are a separate account on platform.synapsex.ai — see
Platform API. Nothing on this page applies there, and the two credit
units are different. Full comparison:
Two products, two accounts.
One account, three apps
You sign in once at chat.synapsex.ai with Continue with Google. That account then covers:
| Surface | How it authenticates |
|---|---|
| SynapseX Chat | Your browser session |
| SynapseX Desktop | An sxc_ key, or a short device code |
| SynapseX CLI | An sxc_ key, or a short device code |
Desktop and the CLI do not have their own accounts or their own billing. Their usage is your chat account’s usage, counted against the same plan quota.
In this section
- Chat plans and pricing — compare the five plans (Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business), see the monthly message and token allowances, and change tier.
- Personal API keys for Desktop and CLI — mint an
sxc_key, or approve a device with a short code. - Export or delete your chat data — take your conversations with you, manage memories, or wipe the account.
What limits my usage?
Two things, and they are not the same:
- Daily counters — 1,000 messages a day for a signed-in account, plus a separate 500-a-day counter that only the pro models consume. These apply on every plan. See Chat models.
- Your plan’s monthly quota — messages and tokens per month, which is what changes when you upgrade. See Chat plans.
Every limit response and error code is on Chat limits and errors.
